From first-time homebuyers to multi-million dollar commercial deals, Spectrum serves the full spectrum of real estate needs across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

June: Growing the Marketing Firepower

We kicked off the second half of the year by bringing William Davis onto the Spectrum team as Marketing Director. With over a decade of experience in real estate marketing and content production, Will's been instrumental in elevating our brand presence and helping our listings stand out across Rhode Island and beyond. From video production to campaign strategy, he's added a level of polish and consistency that's taken our marketing to the next level.

July: Planting Roots in Smithfield

This summer marked a major turning point when Pete Dufresne, Lou Barrows, Shana Boyer, and Kim Barrows closed on a new office building at 28 Thurber Boulevard in Smithfield. After 18 years operating under Keller Williams Leading Edge, the decision to purchase and renovate a permanent space was a statement about the future—not just for the brokerage, but for the agents and teams we support.

The building itself required a complete interior renovation—tearing down and rebuilding the space from the ground up to create a modern, collaborative environment designed to support growth. For Spectrum, this meant having a home base that reflected our commitment to serving clients across Rhode Island's residential and commercial markets. It was more than just an office move—it was an investment in infrastructure that would allow both the brokerage and our team to scale operations and better serve buyers and sellers across Southern New England.

These rankings weren't just numbers on a board—they represented real momentum. Our consistent performance across residential sales, client satisfaction, and market presence throughout 2025 positioned us among the region's most productive teams. It's a testament to the expertise Pete Dufresne, Shana Boyer, and the entire Spectrum crew bring to every transaction, whether it's a first-time homebuyer in Cranston or a multi-family investor looking across Northern Rhode Island.

But the real highlight? Closing 32 Jackson Street in Woonsocket for the highest 2-family sale price in the city according to RI MLS, outside of new construction. It's deals like this that remind us why strategic pricing, professional marketing, and local expertise matter.

October: Welcoming Aidan + A Grand Opening to Remember

October 1st brought another addition to the team: Aidan Weber, who joined as Executive Marketing Assistant. With experience in digital content, video production, and backend systems, Aidan helps keep campaigns running smoothly and ensures our listings get the attention they deserve.

Grand Opening: October 17th

Just over two weeks later, on October 17th, 2025, we officially celebrated the grand opening of Keller Williams Leading Edge at 28 Thurber Boulevard in Smithfield, RI. The evening brought together clients, friends, partners, and local professionals for an incredible night of community, connection, and celebration. Read the full grand opening recap here.

Attendees enjoyed refreshments, networking, and tours of the newly designed space—over 8,000 square feet featuring collaborative meeting spaces, enhanced accessibility, and a 2,500 square foot training center built to support agents with the resources they need to thrive. The modern office serves as a hub for growth and collaboration for agents serving Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

"After 18 years, this new Smithfield office gives us over 8,000 square feet to grow beyond our current 160 agents," said Lou Barrows, co-owner of Keller Williams Leading Edge.

"It's designed to better support agents and their clients—whether they're buying a home, growing a business, or investing in commercial real estate," added Pete Dufresne, co-owner and Team Leader of Spectrum Real Estate Consultants.

The celebration represented more than just a ribbon-cutting—it was a milestone 18 years in the making. Keller Williams Leading Edge, currently ranked #8 statewide out of 672 brokerages by RI MLS, has become a cornerstone of Rhode Island real estate, and this new space positions the brokerage—and teams like Spectrum—for continued success.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to everyone who joined us to celebrate—and to our incredible event sponsors who helped make the night possible: Percy Law Group PC, Comparion Insurance, and The Ferranti Group of LoanDepot. Your support means everything.

Oh, and Goose and Lula—Pete and Shana's dogs—stole the show as our unofficial Halloween mascots later that month. Sometimes the best moments are the ones you don't plan.

November: Strategy, Speed, and a Little Competition

In November, the Spectrum team gathered for an evening of goal planning—and some seriously competitive fun. We started at Terrazza for strategy sessions and great food, then headed to R1 Karting and axe throwing to blow off some steam and build camaraderie heading into the final stretch of 2025.

Pete swept both go-kart races (yes, he wanted this documented). Aidan took home the axe-throwing title—proving that marketing accuracy has range. And the entire team left energized, aligned, and ready to close out the year strong. These moments matter—they build the trust, communication, and chemistry that translate into better service for our clients across Rhode Island.

December: Closing the Year with Gratitude—and a Big Acquisition

December was about celebration and reflection. We hosted our Spectrum Team Holiday Party, followed by the broader Keller Williams Leading Edge Holiday Party—two nights of gratitude, connection, and looking ahead to the opportunities 2026 will bring.

And then, on Christmas Eve, Pete and Shana closed on Sunset Cove Mobile Home Park in Glocester—a 2.72-acre lakefront property on Bowdish Lake. The $1.2 million acquisition represents a long-term investment project that involves replacing aging mobile homes with new units, upgrading infrastructure, and revitalizing a property that's been family-run for 50 years. Read the full Sunset Cove acquisition story here.

Sunset Cove Mobile Home Park - 2.72 acres on Bowdish Lake

The property features 10 mobile home sites, up to 18 total rental units, and a cottage built in 1930 situated right on the water—complete with gorgeous sunsets and direct access to boating and fishing. The plan? Thoughtful renovations while improving the park's aesthetics and upgrading septic and water systems in coordination with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.

It's exactly the kind of investment property opportunity Spectrum is built to handle—strategic, community-focused, and designed for sustainable long-term value creation. This acquisition reflects our broader commitment to not just transacting, but building and improving communities across Rhode Island.

What's Next for Spectrum in 2026

Looking ahead, we're more focused than ever. With a stronger team, a new office that's built for growth, and ambitious goals on the board, 2026 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet.

To everyone who worked with us in 2025—whether you were buying your first home in Rhode Island, selling a commercial property, or investing in real estate across Southern New England—thank you. You're the reason we show up every day.

Here's to the year behind us, the lessons learned, and the exciting work ahead. Let's make 2026 even better.
