Many of the homes in the Bernon District South neighborhood are older and well-established, built between 1940 and 1969. Oak Grove

Oak Grove is considered to be a low- to the middle-income neighborhood. In the neighborhood, 33.6% of the working population is employed in executive, management, and professional occupations. This neighborhood’s second largest occupational group is sales and service jobs at 29.2%, 21.9% of the residents are employed in manufacturing and laborer occupations, and 15.3% in clerical, assistant, and tech support occupations.

East Woonsocket

The median real estate price in East Woonsocket is $319,684. The neighborhood comprises medium-sized (three or four-bedroom) to small (studio to two-bedroom) single-family homes and apartment complexes/high-rise apartments. 

The residents of the East Woonsocket neighborhood are primarily lower-middle income. In this neighborhood, 31.7% of the working population is employed in executive, management, and professional occupations. Next come sales and service jobs, comprising 30.2% of the residents employed. Other residents here are employed in manufacturing and laborer occupations (19.9%) and 15.6% in clerical, assistant, and tech support occupations.

Woonsocket’s Housing Market Today

According to the most recent statistics from the Rhode Island MLS, the Woonsocket housing market is very competitive. Homes in Woonsocket tend to sell in around 25 days. In October 2022, Woonsocket home prices were up 10.7% compared to last year. There were 46 homes sold in October this year, up from 36 last year.

As of early December, there were 97 homes on the market. They range from small 1-bedroom starter homes up to large 4-bedroom family homes. There were also a few double and triple-decker homes on the market, making Woonsocket a great place for real estate investors to look to add to their investment portfolio.
